Willowcorgo
Willowcorgo (also known as Willow or Corgo) is a tricolor corgi fursona and fursuit character. Easily recognised by a hot-pink t-shirt, light-wash jeans and an oversized black pom-pom tail, Willowcorgo is a playful, photo-loving pup with a famously dramatic head tilt.
The character is best known from fursuit photos and short clips, where Willowcorgo is usually caught mid-pose, glancing back over a shoulder with those big brown eyes.
Appearance
Head
Willowcorgo's head is a soft, toony take on a tricolor corgi. A black crown runs into two tall, upright ears lined with pale pink fur. Warm tan markings frame the cheeks and brows, a bright white blaze runs down to a rounded white muzzle, and the look is finished with a glossy black nose. The large brown eyes with white highlights give Willowcorgo a curious, slightly mischievous expression from almost every angle.
Outfit
Willowcorgo almost always wears a hot-pink short-sleeve tee with fitted light-wash denim jeans. Fluffy black handpaws with white pads round out the look. The pink-and-black contrast has become so closely tied to the character that fans treat it as Willowcorgo's official colour scheme.
Tail
The tail is Willowcorgo's most talked-about feature: a huge, round black pom-pom of shaggy faux fur that sits just above the waistband. Real Pembroke corgis are often born with naturally short tails, and the oversized fluffy tail is a cartoonish nod to that.
Personality
Willowcorgo is energetic, goofy and a total ham for the camera. Typical behaviour includes sudden zoomies, the classic look-back-over-the-shoulder pose, and a head tilt whenever someone says the word "treat". Under all the bounce, Willowcorgo is friendly and gentle, the kind of pup who greets everyone at a meet-up.
- Likes: photoshoots, zoomies, fluffy pillows, the colour pink, belly rubs
- Dislikes: baths, the vacuum cleaner, losing the tail
History
Willowcorgo started out as a fursona design that combined a tricolor corgi with a bright, casual streetwear look. The design was then built into a full fursuit, and the pink tee and pom-pom tail have been part of it from the very first photos.
Trivia
- The name is a blend of Willow and corgi, which is where the nickname "Corgo" comes from.
- Corgis are a herding breed. Pembroke Welsh Corgis were originally bred in Wales to herd cattle.
- The pink tee shows up in nearly every known photo of Willowcorgo.
- Fans sometimes mistake the pom-pom tail for a bunny tail.
